Steve Gallagher
Director of Tennis

Steve has been teaching tennis for over 35 years. He is a USPTA certified professional, former Illinois USPTA Pro-of-the-Year and past secretary and vice president for USPTA New England and Mid-West divisions. Steve coordinated the largest teaching program in country as Director of Tennis for Mid-Town Tennis Club in Chicago. As Director of Tennis for Weymouth Club in Weymouth, Massachusetts, he established one of the most active tennis programs in New England with a junior program of over 400 juniors and over 100 New England sectionally ranked players, 40 adult teams, 20 teaching professionals and nine off-site locations. Steve previously served as General Manager/Director of Racquet Sports for Mid-Town Tennis Club in Rochester, New York, The Vertical Club in New York City and The Sporting Club at Windy Hill in Atlanta.

Steve was named 2013 Virginia Living Best of Virginia winner, 2000 USTA/USPTA Community Service, 2000 Boston Globe “Harbies” (outstanding sports performance) and 1999 USTA/New England Volunteer-of-the-Year award recipient. Other accomplishments include being a former Rhode Island State Men’s Singles champion in tennis, Massachusetts State Men’s Singles champion in Racquetball and Western New York Men’s Singles champion in squash. He played Division I NCAA college tennis for Colgate University, and is the founder of South Shore Tennis Initiative, Inc., a 501(c) non-profit corporation designed to promote grass roots tennis in the South Shore of Massachusetts.  He is a competitive USA Cycling road cyclist and was ranked #1 in the country in his age/race category in 2013 and 2014.


Ryan Sheehan
Head Tennis Professional

Ryan is a USPTR Certified Instructor and USTA MATA 14’s and 16’s Zonal Team Coach. He was ranked #1 singles and #1 doubles player Lake Braddock High School from 1995 to 1997. From 2002 to 2005, Ryan was the coach for Lake Braddock High School boys and girls teams, and prior to that worked as a tennis professional for RJ Tennis from at the Fairfax Station Tennis and Swim Club, Four Seasons Racquet Club and Truro Swim and Tennis Club.

Tennis Professional

Daniel Masakayan is a certified tennis instructor for the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) with a specialized certification in Adult Development. He is a local (Fairfax County) tennis product, played #1 singles and doubles and won Patriot League titles in both singles and doubles for South County High School and was a highly ranked junior in the USTA/Middle Atlantic Section. Daniel has a fluid game with smooth, effortless strokes. Daniel previously taught tennis for the University of Virginia Intramural/Recreation Department, Mount Vernon Athletic Club and the Skyline Sport and Health Club. He has a fun, engaging personality and tremendous enthusiasm on the court. Daniel graduated with high honors from the University of Virginia where he captained their club team to a ranking of #2 in the country.

Trevor Scott 

Tennis Professional
Trevor Scott is a certified tennis professional for the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).  He was a highly ranked junior in the USTA/Middle Atlantic Section and played college tennis for the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas.  Trevor previously taught tennis at the Winchester Country Club, Clarke County Parks and Recreation and Chuck Kriese Total Tennis Training Camps.  He served as the assistant coach for the men’s and women’s Shenandoah University tennis teams and was head coach for the John Handley High School girl’s tennis team.  Trevor coached the USTA/Mid-Atlantic national 12’s zonal team to a first place finish in 2014 and coached the USTA/Mid-Atlantic 10’s team in the Capital Clash Team Championships (a regional competition with teams from the northeast region).


Austin Peterson
Tennis Professional

Austin Peterson is a full-time tennis professional.  Austin is a certified tennis professional with the United States Professional Tennis Registry (PTR).  He was a highly ranked junior in the USTA/Middle States section and the number one ranked player in Delaware.  He previously taught tennis at the Cattail Creek Country Club in Glenwood, Maryland and the Sea Colony Tennis Center in Bethany Beach, Delaware.  Austin also served as a traveling coach and hitting partner for a number of top nationally ranked juniors and WTA tour professionals.
